Trail Bridge
- Location: Belle Plaine, Minnesota
- Contractor: MN DNR
- Size: 60′ span x 24′ wide
- Purpose: To provide safe trail passage over a stream.
About this Project
Due to increased rainfall and erosion, the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge was in need of major infrastructure rehabilitation.
Part of this project is a 60′ span precast concrete bridge to allow for safe trail passage over a stream that often floods the area. The bridge was designed by Contech Engineered Solutions and produced by Wieser Concrete in Maiden Rock, WI. The six large bridge sections were shipped with escort vehicles due to the oversize load.
