About this Project
Four years ago, Linda and Fred Jourdeans purchased a shed home outside Roberts, Wisconsin. Due to the home not having a basement for safety during a storm, they decided to purchase an eight-person capacity Wieser Concrete freestanding storm shelter. Wieser storm shelters are certified to meet the National Storm Shelter Association standard and have been tested by the Wind Science & Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University. Following the installation, Linda and Fred mentioned, “Installation went great, very good driver. Thank you for the military discount.
We hope we never have to use the shelter, but now we have peace of mind.” Fred joined the U.S. Army in July 1963. He was at a Nike Hercules Missile site at Roberts, WI after basic until December 1964. Following Roberts, he traveled to Germany and was stationed at a NATO Nike Hercules missile site in Blankenheim for one and a half years. Fred was discharged on July 3, 1966. Wieser Concrete sincerely thanks Fred Jourdeans and every other veteran and active service member for their dedicated service to our country. We also thank Linda and the countless military families for their sacrifice and commitment.
