About this Project

A new hospital building, medical office building, and mechanical penthouse space with 1,132 stalls are under construction for the Aurora Sheboygan County Medical Center. To protect and provide an access point for subterranean water utility equipment, Wieser Concrete was chosen to design and produce a 21’L x 11’W x 12’H precast vault. Installed inside of the vault is a water meter from the City of Sheboygan.

“The shop drawings provided by Wieser were drawn to professional-grade and allowed us to easily understand and relay the information needed to our customer,” said Denelle Kappelman, Project Coordinator for Buteyn-Peterson Construction Company. The vault and meter were ordered in January 2020, installed in early March, and operational by April. Other than the weight of the material and organization required to install the product, no additional challenges arose for the project. Kappelman also mentioned, “Wieser has provided precast storage vaults/units for some exceptionally large projects, so we were confident that they were able to provide what was required.” The hospital is expected to be open by summer 2021, with a possible second water meter vault needed in summer 2020.
