Drew Wieser, general manager at our Roxana plant, completed Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s (SIUE’s) Construction Leadership Institute (CLI) program.
From SIUE: Success in the highly competitive building industry requires exceptional leadership, management and communication skills. Developed by the SIUE Schools of Business and Engineering, the Construction Leadership Institute (CLI) provides the knowledge, skills, and strategies that individuals and companies need in today’s challenging construction industry. The curriculum is designed to develop and hone leadership, as well as effective communication and presentation skills. Other segments focus on crucial professional skills such as strategic thinking, networking, negotiation, team building, finance, construction contracts, insurance and bonding, risk management, and conflict management. The instructional team includes building industry professionals and subject matter experts. Attendees also will explore innovative project delivery approaches and become attuned to emerging opportunities and challenges impacting the industry.
