Watkins, MN – Wieser Concrete is coordinating an Open Barn Event for the Dockendorf Dairy – Steve and Lori Dockendorf and being held on Saturday, June 9, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 14623 County Road 2, Watkins, Minnesota
In the spring of 2011, Steve and Lori broke ground for their new milking facility, with the first milking taking place on August 15th, 2011. The 94’ x 168’ cross ventilated warm, 5-row free stall barn sits atop an 110’ x 132’ x 12’ slatted floor underbarn manure storage system. This system stores approximately 1.2 million gallons of manure. The cows are kept comfortable
on a patented dual chamber waterbed. Two (2) robotic milking units milk the 125 cows on an average of 3.1 times per day. Come out to see many other great features of this dairy facility!
