Safety is today’s “buzzword” in business and rightly so. Not only is the safety of employees important, it also impacts the performance of the entire business.

At Wieser Concrete, safety is a top priority and because of our conscientious and dedicated production and trucking teams, we are able to celebrate many safety milestones throughout the year. As each day concludes without a loss-time injury, new milestones are achieved.

Recently, the employees of Wieser Concrete Products, Inc. were presented the 2012 Presidents Award from Security Insurance Company of North America.

Memorials for Heroes

Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery

In 2011, we manufactured over 8100 Columbariam Niches as part of the continued expansion of Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois and Springfield Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. These niches provide final rest for veterans who choose cremation.

In 2005, when Wieser Concrete was awarded our first contract for cremation memorial units at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a 96-niche unit for the national cemeteries was constructed by securing four (4) 24-niche sections together using mechanical fasteners.

Being new at that time to the production of these precast structures, Wieser Concrete needed to fabricate forms specifically for this project so Wieser Concrete took the opportunity to look at innovations that would deliver a superior quality product for the best value.

That new design was a onepiece precast structure containing all 96-niches. Today, this 96-niche unit is the standard in many veteran cemeteries.

The advantages of this system are:

  • This system does not rely on mechanical fasteners to secure multiple sections together thereby providing a more durable product and consistent appearance.
  • This system produces one 96-niche unit of reliable, uniform size making the finishing components and foundation fit consistently.
  • This system provides increased stability due to the reduction of section pieces. One 96-Niche unit takes the place of four (4) prior 24-nich design units.
  • This system reduces opportunities for product damage during installation due to less handling.
  • This system provides a consistently superior installation process.

For more than 47 years, Wieser Concrete has consistently designed and delivered improved precast concrete products through innovation; always seeking ways to make a good design better.
